    At The Wrap, Steve Pond ran a simulation for Oscar that resulted in an outcome with eight Best Picture nominees. He has been allowed by the BFCA to recount their ballots under Oscar’s preferential system, and while the same method forecast eight noms last year (we had nine), it’s still an interesting read to say the least.

    Zero Dark Thirty, The Hobbit, The Company You Keep, and Les Miserables all get new marketing posters...

    This week we have several character posters (Les Mis; The Hobbit; Rise of the Guardians) as well as new posters from Ang Lee’s Life of Pi, Robert Redford’s The Company You Keep, Kathryn Bigelow’s Zero Dark Thirty, and a teaser for Marc Forster’s World War Z. The poster of the week honor goes to Andrew Dominik’s mob film, Killing Them Softly. The simplistic final poster for the film is timely, patriotic. Have a look at the posters after the jump.

    A Week’s Worth of Posters!

    Getting a look at the marketing materials of future releases...

    This week we were privy to several posters from upcoming films. We had a teaser for The Wolverine (due out next July), a half sheet for Quartet (which goes wide in January), and full length posters for Wreck-It Ralph (this weekend), Hitchcock (in limited release in November) and Oz: The Great and Powerful (March 8th). But the poster of the week goes to Chan-wook Park’s upcoming horror/drama, Stoker. Have a look at the entire showcase after the jump.
