    It was recently announced that advanced tickets would go on sale for both The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and The Lord of the Rings marathons beginning Wednesday, November 7th. You can see more on this in the newest TV spot for the film. But as an added bonus, we have a preview for Academy Award winning composer Howard Shore’s score to The Hobbit. “Radagast the Brown” is the first track released to the public, and you can listen to it after the jump.

    The Warner Brothers Awards Site has had their roster listed for a few weeks now.  Big contenders like Ben Affleck’s Argo, Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises, and The Wachowski Siblings and Tom Tykwer’s Cloud Atlas have their respective categories listed.  Even Steven Soderbergh’s Magic Mike is pushing a campaign for Matthew McConaughey and the rest of the cast.  Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, a film that our own Mark Johnson has stood by all year-long, has started listing their categories for consideration.     The second trailer for Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey has arrived! This will be the first in what will be a trilogy of Hobbit films spanning the next three years. An Unexpected Journey will be in theatres on December 14th of this year, followed by The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug on Dec. 13, 2013 and The Hobbit: There And Back Again on July 18, 2014.
