2015 Emmy Predictions – Best Supporting Actor (Drama)

jimcarter_downtonabbeyFINAL EMMY PREDICTIONS: There are so many possibilities in this race this year, with much potential for double dipping for the same show.  “Game of Thrones” has a sure-fire nominee with Peter Dinklage but Kit Harington and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau can pop up.  “Bloodline” is the new kid on the block with Sam Shepard, Ben Mendelsohn, and Norbert Leo-Butz in the hunt.  The other new kid is “Better Call Saul” with Jonathan Banks making a play.  “Mad Men” is saying goodbye this year and John Slattery has a legit shot at gold if they go crazy for the show.  “Homeland” had a revival this year which should bode well for Mandy Patinkin while “The Good Wife” has a few shots including the talented Alan Cumming.  How much fire is left in “Ray Donovan” for Jon Voight or can Joshua Jackson ride a wave that is sure to come for “The Affair?”  And then there’s anything from “Downton Abbey” including Jim Carter.  We’ll see.

No love for David Tennant as Kilgrave in Jessica Jones. I thought he was amazing in making me hate him but also laugh and feel sorry for him at the same time.
