New Release Dates Announced for TWC’s ‘The Founder’ and ‘Lion’ along with A24 Moving ‘The Lobster’ out of March

michaelkeaton-mcdonalds-combo-tsrThree big release date changes were announced earlier today.  Two came from the Weinstein Company as they move John Lee Hancock’s “The Founder” with Michael Keaton to August 5, 2016 and Garth Davis’ “Lion” with Dev Patel to November 25, 2016.

The other comes from Yorgos Lanthimos’ “The Lobster,” which has been confirmed to no longer be opening on March 11. A24 Films will now be releasing the film, and a new release date will follow shortly.  This is certainly not a bad sign as the film has received outstanding reviews during its festival run (you can read my review from NYFF last year here), and will be a contender this coming year in categories like Original Screenplay, Best Actor (Colin Farrell), and Best Picture.

Check out details below for the films, as well as the newly updated Oscar Predictions in Best Picture for Oscars 2017.
