‘1917’ Leads Award Wins From Music City Film Critics Association

The Music City Film Critics Association (MCFCA) revealed their winners Friday.

Sam Mendes‘ war drama, “1917,” paved its way in landing five total wins from the Nashville-based critics group. It topped the Best Picture race as well as securing Mendes with a win for Best Director. Other wins include for Best Cinematography for Oscar winner Roger Deakins (“Blade Runner 2049”), Best Sound and Best Editing.

Rian Johnson’s “Knives Out” was awarded Best Acting Ensemble and Best Comedy Film, while “Once Upon a Time…In Hollywood” won for Best Production Design and for Brad Pitt‘s supporting role.
