Ever since Joe Wright’s beautiful adaptation of Pride and Prejudice in 2005, there’s been a sort of frenzy around all things Jane Austen.  There was Becoming Jane (2007) , The Jane Austen Book Club (2007), and thank heavens Pride and Prejudice and Zombies looks like it’s nowhere near production.  Safe to say, Mr. Darcy has single-handedly ruined throngs of women’s expectations for men and relationships.  This latest literary charmer from Napoleon Dynamite (2004) co-scribe Jerusha Hess showcases the devoted, often obsessive fandom surrounding Austen’s most famous novel.  The film premiered at Sundance in January and was picked up by Sony Pictures Classics for limited release.
