Academy Award nominee Bruce Dern has been turning heads for his performance in Alexander Payne’s Nebraska, and his path to Oscar seems more and more clear as the awards season process unfolds. Today it was announced that Dern would receive the Career Achievement Award at the 25th annual Palm Springs Film Festival. The festival runs Jan. 3-13, and Dern is set to receive his honor on January 4.
