Pretty shocking news here, as a young actor is taken too soon. Yes, Paul Walker of the Fast and the Furious franchise has passed away after a tragic car accident. It’s been confirmed by his reps, so sadly there’s no hoax here. I won’t sit here and lie by saying that I was a fan of the franchise, but it’s a terrible shame that someone is dead at 40 years old, no matter who they are. Walker was an actor with plenty of talent and will surely be missed by many. Below you can see the news story, which is still in the midst of developing, and I’m not sure what else to add, honestly. Rest in piece sir.
Here’s the story from The Hollywood Reporter:
Paul Walker, best known for his role in the hit Fast and the Furious movies, died Saturday afternoon in a car accident in Valencia, Calif. He was 40.
TMZ was the first to report the news of his death. The L.A. County Coroner’s Office told The Hollywood Reporter that two unidentified males were involved in a fatal accident on Saturday but could not confirm that one of them was Walker.
The L.A. County Sheriff’s Department tweeted that the crash happened around 3:30 p.m. in the 28300 clock of Rye Canyon Loop.
Walker was set to reprise his role as Brian O’Conner in Fast & Furious 7 for director James Wan and also was starring in the upcoming Brick Mansions. His other credits include Flags of Our Fathers, Eight Below and Into the Blue.
More to come…
