shortterm12_imageAs contenders fall off the rails and out of contention, one small film has remained steady as one of the quiet gems of the year, “Short Term 12” with Brie Larson.

On top of a dark possibility for Lead Actress and Screenplay consideration, the film will be eligible for Best Original Song.  The song, “So You Know What It’s Like” is performed by Keith Stanfield and written by Keith Stanfield and Destin Daniel Cretton.   You can also read a bit on the song from IndieWire.  Do we have a contender here?
