Slowly but surely, it seems that J.C. Chandor‘s third film A Most Violent Year is becoming more and more of a presumed Oscar player. I’m still somewhat skeptical, but it seems like a very promising movie. It’s a drama about an immigrant family set during a particularly bad year in New York City’s history and stars the duo of Oscar Isaac and Jessica Chastain. Entertainment Weekly has the first images from the flick, which you can see below, and while they don’t show you too much, they do remind you that the film is coming. A Most Violent Year will be out this fall, potentially impacting the awards race.
