The Next Bond villain could be a “big” one

james-bond-bond-24Here’s an interesting rumor. Apparently, for the upcoming 24th James Bond movie, casting is on for a physically imposing villain. Immediately, speculation has begun that this could be the new incarnation of Bond’s version of someone like Jaws, though the casting call has the bad guy at least temporarily known as Hinx. The Bond website MI6 reports that

Casting has begun for the main assassin, with the search specifically focussed on someone extremely physically fit and over 6′ 2″. Whoever wins the role will have several altercations with Daniel Craig’s 007 throughout the film and also a driving sequence. Former sports athletes will be under consideration along with anyone ‘very unusual’. The character has the working name of ‘Hinx’ (which may change before shooting starts) and is said to be between 30 and 45 years old.”

It’s definitely a different direction for returning director Sam Mendes to take, though I’d certainly enjoying seeing Daniel Craig‘s 007 tangle with someone pretty large. Stay tuned for more on this film hopefully soon, as Bond 24 (until it gets a flowery official title in the coming months) hits theaters on November 6th of next year. 2015 is going to have some high flicks, and especially after Skyfall, this is one of them…
