The financially successful “Magic Mike” was a staple of the 2012 film year, and was the starting gun of what we affectionately called the “McConaissance.” With a $7 million dollar budget, Academy Award winner Steven Soderbergh turned “Magic Mike” into $113 million dollar worldwide phenomenon. It was only a matter of time before the studio decided that the world wanted more.
A new trailer has premiered today for the upcoming sequel “Magic Mike XXL” and should get the girls (and some guys) slobbering on their laptops. Channing Tatum reprises his role with Golden Globe winner Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Adam Rodriguez, Kevin Nash, and Gabriel Iglesias returning. Added to the roster is Elizabeth Banks, Donald Glover, Andie MacDowell, Jada Pinkett Smith, Amber Heard, and Michael Strahan.
I guess you can make your best guesses from the trailer and poster below. The film is distributed by Warner Bros. and is set to open July 1, 2015.
