First Poster and Trailer drop for the remake of ‘Point Break’

75Before we get to the meat of this post, we should just get one thing out in the open…yes, it’s no secret that nobody is asking for a remake of Point Break. Is it unnecessary and a combination cash in on the brand name and the popularity of something like the Fast and the Furious franchise? Of course. That’s just the name of the game these days, so it’s pointless to rage against the machine sight unseen. Well, now we’ve got a Poster and Trailer for Point Break, so there’s at least the rough idea of what this remake is going to be like. Frankly. it looks very silly and probably not something that’s going to be my cup of tea, but I can totally see it finding a big audience when it opens at the end of the year. The original starred Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze, as we all know, while Kathryn Bigelow directed. This time out, the starring roles have been given to Luke Bracey (meh) and Edgar Ramirez (this bit of casting has my attention), with Teresa Palmer and Ray Winstone in supporting roles, while Erricson Core directs. Below you can see the Trailer for yourself, as well as the Poster. Stay tuned for more on Point Break between now and its theatrical release on December 25th…
