TRUTH! Diane Ladd is NOT Happy About “Leading Lady Stars” in Supporting Categories

dianeladd_joyThanks to Adam () on Twitter for tipping us to this video, and the Associated Press for nabbing the interview.

It looks like Diane Ladd is a bit angry about missing out on a Supporting Actress nomination for her work in David O. Russell’s “Joy” in January.  Bringing up Rooney Mara’s win at Cannes for Best Actress as a prime example, she gives the reporter an intense thought on “greed by the studios.”  She brings up “three leading ladies” in supporting.  The internet was vocal about Mara and frontrunner Alicia Vikander (“The Danish Girl”), but I wonder who the third person is?  Jennifer Jason Leigh (“The Hateful Eight”), Rachel McAdams (“Spotlight”), and Kate Winslet (“Steve Jobs”) are the other nominees and all seem to be agreed upon as supporting candidates.

Check out the interview down below:

From the AP You Tube page:

“At the AARP Movies for Grownups Awards – where she won best supporting actress for her role in ‘Joy’ – Diane Ladd talked about being overlooked by the Oscars and her anger at Hollywood politics and machinations. (Feb. 9)”
