The full length trailer for “Jason Bourne,” the fifth installment of the Bourne franchise, is finally here.
Matt Damon returns to the iconic role in “Jason Bourne.” Paul Greengrass, who previously directed “The Bourne Supremacy” and “The Bourne Ultimatum,” once again joins Damon for the next chapter of Jason Bourne’s story, which finds the CIA’s most deadly former operative drawn out of the shadows.
Damon is joined by Alicia Vikander, Vincent Cassel and Tommy Lee Jones in the film, and Julia Stiles also reprises her role in the series. Frank Marshall again produces alongside Jeffrey Weiner for Captivate Entertainment, and Greengrass, Damon, Gregory Goodman and Ben Smith also produce. Based on characters created by Robert Ludlum, the film is penned by Greengrass and Christopher Rouse.
The trailer provides a look at the intense action sequences the series has become known for, as well as the first big glimpses of all of the major players in the film. Details on the film have largely been kept under the radar since the news first broke that a fifth film was in the works.
“I know who I am,” Damon boasts in the trailer after returning from a nine-year absence. “Remembering everything doesn’t mean you know everything,” Stiles’ character tells him.
The film opens in theaters on July 29. The film franchise started with 2002’s “Bourne Identity,” with the most recent entry being 2012’s “Bourne Legacy,” which Damon did not star in.
