Anchored by incredible writing, and even better performances from Carrie Coon, Regina King, and Justin Theroux, the show became one of the best series of 2015. Think of it like a reverse-“True Detective.” Christopher Eccleston, and Ann Dowd also picked up Critic’s Choice Nominations in 2016 for their work. However, the show has been dropped by many pundits, simply because it released early in the 2015-2016 Emmy season. If the academy embraces it the same way the critics have, expect big things.
