TV: 10 Shows We Hope Aren’t Ignored by the Emmys

  1. “The Americans”

The cat’s out of the bag and “The Americans” is one of the best shows on television today. While the Emmy’s have mostly ignored the show (relegating its nominations to Guest Acting and a single writing nomination), it has long boasted two of the best leading performances on television. Matthew Rhys had an opportunity to showcase his talent this season, and Keri Russell should have picked up a nomination the last three years. The show also has Noah Emmerich, Dylan Baker, and the always amazing Frank Langella in supporting roles. The Critic’s Choice Awards gave the series the top prize in Drama in 2015 (over “Game of Thrones”).
