TV: 10 Shows We Hope Aren’t Ignored by the Emmys

I know, I know, I’m cheating off the bat. However, as we discussed on the podcast a few weeks ago, the two shows occupy very similar spaces. Most importantly, the animated race needs to get a shake up as soon as possible. Last year, 3 of the 5 nominees had won the category before. With one spot open for a new show, and these two shows should be considered. “Rick and Morty” had incredibly strong arcs that showcased the effects of Rick’s selfishness and deteriorating mental state. “Bojack Horseman” delved into the choices we make, and the very human wish to relive the past. Both addressed truly relatable aspects of life, and did so as well as any show on television.
