The sophomore comedy has found a way to blend comedy styles similar to that of “Bojack Horseman” while also You're the Worst Aya Cashaddressing the real impact that mental illness can have on a relationship. Aya Cash’s performance on the show is one of the best on television this year, and she truly disappears into the role of Gretchen. Her portrayal of clinical depression is not only accurate, but an important representation of the illness on TV today. Surprisingly, the show has a second character suffering from mental illness with Desmin Borges’ Edgar providing a solid performance as a soldier suffering from PTSD. The show has remained as funny as ever with both of these characters, and is one of the must-watch half hour shows on TV today.
