On paper, “Jackie” would likely be towards the top of the list for Oscar pundits, with star Natalie Portman being touted as “the one to beat.”  Chilean director Pablo Larrain makes his English language debut about the days following JFK’s assassination from the point of view of his widow, Jackie Kennedy.  If it can pick up a worthy distributor, we should watch this in several categories.
