Fox Searchlight Pictures has released the Red Band Trailer for Craig Johnson’s “Wilson” starring Woody Harrelson.
“Wilson” tells the story of a lonely, neurotic and hilariously honest middle-aged man, who reunites with his estranged wife and meets his teenage daughter for the first time.
Woody Harrelson has been no stranger to awards. His first nomination came in 1996 for “The People vs. Larry Flynt” from Milos Forman. In 2009, he returned to the Oscar ceremony in Best Supporting Actor for his brave turn as an Army Captain in Oren Moverman’s “The Messenger.” He currently has 3 films in post-production including “The Glass Castle” from Destin Cretton, and starring Academy Award winner Brie Larson. He also has a role in Martin McDonagh’s next feature “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” with Sam Rockwell and Peter Dinklage.
The film co-stars Oscar-nominee Laura Dern, Judy Greer, Cheryl Hines, and Isabella Amara. Dern was nominated in 2014 for her performance in Jean-Marc Vallee’s “Wild.” She stars in Kelly Reichardt’s “Certain Women,” currently in theaters and will have a role in the upcoming film about Ray Kroc called “The Founder” from John Lee Hancock. Greer currently has 6 films in post-production including the upcoming sequel “War for the Planet of the Apes” due out next summer.
Director Craig Johnson previous works include “The Skeleton Twins,” which found love from the Independent Spirit Awards. His next project will be on the TV movie called “Mating” with SNL alum Taran Killam and Jim Belushi.
It’s written by Daniel Clowes, who adapts his own graphic novel.
“Wilson” opens in theaters on Mar. 24, 2017.
