Even if the last two films in the “X-Men” franchise didn’t work for you, it’s likely that one element did. Evan Peters‘ Quicksilver stole the show with limited appearances in both “X-Men: Days of Future Past” and “X-Men: Apocalypse“. So, it’s probably no surprise that we haven’t seen the last of this character, even as the series works towards an upheaval in the cast.
The Hollywood Reporter confirms that Quicksilver is back for the upcoming “X-Men: Dark Phoenix“. While franchise mainstays Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, and James McAvoy are returning for presumably one last adventure, Peters could easily be a new core member going forward. He’d be a popular addition to the likely new leadership of Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, Kodi Smit-McPhee, and Sophie Turner. “X-Men: Dark Phoenix” hits theaters on November 2nd of next year. Stay tuned for more.
