David Oyelowo Signs On to Doug Liman’s ‘Chaos Walking’

Actor David Oyelowo is the latest start to join the cast of Doug Liman‘s upcoming dystopian film, “Chaos Walking,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The film is adapted from the novel by Patrick Ness. IMDB’s synopsis describes “Chaos Walking” as:

“A dystopian world where there are no women and all living creatures can hear each others’ thoughts in a stream of images, words, and sounds called Noise.”

Oyelowo has appeared in a number of movies and television series since the early 2000s. He was nominated for a Golden Globe for his leading role as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in Ava DuVernay’s “Selma.” He has also recently starred in “A United Kingdom” and “Queen of Katwe.”

Oyelowo joins an all-star cast which includes Daisy Ridley (“Star Wars: The Force Awakens”), Tom Holland (“Spider-Man: Homecoming”) and Mads Mikkelsen (“Rogue One”). Demián Bichir (“Alien: Covenant”) and Nick Jonas (“Scream Queens”) also star.

Director Doug Liman is best known for action films including “The Bourne Identity,” “Mr. and Mrs. Smith,” and “Edge of Tomorrow.” His latest film, “American Made,” is due out next month.

“Chaos Walking” is being produced by Quadrant Pictures, and will be distributed by LionsGate.

The film is currently scheduled for release on March 1, 2019.
