It’s Game 7 of the World Series, and all eyes are glued to any available television. Why not up the stakes? Choosing the mother of all TV events for yet another teaser, Disney dropped a teaser trailer for “Star Wars: The Last Jedi,” yet another installment in the space opera franchise.
The film is the last film to feature the late Carrie Fisher (“Star Wars” series) alongside fellow “Star Wars” alum Mark Hamill (“Star Wars” series). Daisy Ridley (“Star Wars: The Force Awakens”), John Boyega (“Detroit”), and Oscar Isaac (“Ex Machina”) feature as the new trio defending the galaxy against the insidious Dark Side. Adam Driver (“Silence”), Lupita Nyong’o (“The Jungle Book”), Andy Serkis (“Lord of the Rings” trilogy), Domhnall Gleeson (“The Revenant”), Anthony Daniels (“Star Wars” series), Gwendoline Christie (“Game of Thrones”), Kelly Marie Tran (“About a Boy”), Laura Dern (“Twin Peaks”) and Benicio Del Toro (“Sicario”) will also star.
Written and directed by Rian Johnson (“Looper”), the film is produced by Kathleen Kennedy (“Rogue One”) and Ram Bergman (“Don Jon”). “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” director J.J. Abrams executive produces with Tom Karnowski (“The Light Between Oceans”) and Jason McGatlin (“Rogue One”).
“Star Wars: The Last Jedi” comes to theaters Dec. 15, 2017. Watch the latest trailer below.
