WATCH: Matt Damon and Kristen Wiig Face Big Decisions in New Clips from ‘Downsizing’

Ahead of its December 22 release, Paramount Pictures revealed two new clips from “Downsizing.”

Matt Damon stars as Paul, a man who is bored with his life and seeks new adventures by undergoing the radical new procedure known as downsizing. Kristen Wiig plays his wife, Audrey, he is much more reluctant to follow through.

The film also stars Christoph Waltz, Hong Chau, Neil Patrick Harris, Jason Sudeikis, Laura Dern, and many more.

In the first clip, shown below, Paul and Audrey go through a brief interview on their way to undergoing the procedure. The clip highlights the monumental decision they face, and their individual levels of surety.

The second clip shows Neil Patrick Harris and Laura Dern offering a sales pitch to all of the potential downsizers. It is akin to a time share presentation, but with the charisma of two award winning actors.

“Downsizing” was written and directed by Academy Award winner Alexander Payne. It is the follow up to his 2014 film, “Nebraska.”

Co-writing the script is Academy Award winner Jim Taylor. He and Payne co-wrote “Sideways,” “About Schmidt,” “The Descendants,” and “Election.”
