Krysten Ritter finally returns as the eponymous “Jessica Jones” for a second season. On Wednesday, Netflix released a new trailer for the second season.
The series comes from Marvel. Jessica is one of The Defenders, and joined up last year with Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist
The second season finds Jessica picking up the pieces after a harrowing journey and a showdown with the man who tried to ruin her life. Now, she can move on from what Kilgrave (David Tennant) did to her. But as she tries to move forward, she finds herself drawn to her past. A past that includes the tragic deaths of her parents and sibling. Was that car accident really an accident? Or was there more to it?
Two and a half years after the acclaimed first season, Netflix finally gives audiences the second season they’ve been asking for. Rachel Taylor returns as Trish, and Carrie-Anne Moss is back as Jeri Hogarth. Eka Darville also reprises his role as Jessica’s neighbor Malcolm. Janet McTeer and J.R. Ramirez join the cast. We don’t know yet who else might return. Will we see Luke again? Or perhaps Daredevil will pay a visit to Hell’s Kitchen’s best private investigator.
You can find out when “Jessica Jones” season 2 hits Netflix on March 8. This release date coincides with International Women’s Day.
