Marvel fans finally have a closer look at Josh Brolin (“Everest”) kicking ass and taking names as Cable in a new trailer for “Deadpool 2.”
But as always, Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) breaks the fourth wall in ways only he can, stopping the trailer to yell at Dale in the background about the unfinished special effects and lampooning the “Justice League” controversy over Henry Cavill’s mustache. (“It’s a metal arm! It’s not like we’re trying to remove a mustache!”) While Dale shines up the footage, Deadpool entertains the audience with a toy spaghetti Western standoff in a hastily made diorama, with Deadpool’s action figure dressed as Woody from “Toy Story.” We eventually return to Brolin destroying his enemies with his newly finished arm and yet another standoff in Deadpool’s living room. God, I can’t wait for this movie.
“Deadpool 2” sees the return of original stars Reynolds, Morena Baccarin (“Gotham”), T.J. Miller (“Silicon Valley”), Leslie Uggams (“The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks”), Stefan Kapicic (“We Will Be the World Champions”), Brianna Hildebrand (“Tragedy Girls”) and Karan Soni (“Safety Not Guaranteed”). Joining this time around are newcomers Zazie Beetz (“Atlanta”) and Julian Dennison (“Hunt for the Wilerpeople”), according to Variety. David Leitch (“Atomic Blonde”) directs off a screenplay from Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (“Deadpool”), with Marvel Comics characters created by Rob Liefeld and Fabian Nicieza.

The trailer follows yesterday’s release of yet another “Deadpool 2” poster, a parody of “Flashdance” that featured Reynold’s Deadpool soaking himself in a stream of shell casings instead of the classic bucket of water. If there were an Oscar for best ad campaign, “Deadpool 2” would have it in the bag.
“Deadpool 2” hits theaters May 18. Watch the new trailer below.
