The CW is renewing the following series:
- “Arrow”—Season 7
- “Black Lightning”—Season 2
- “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”—Season 4
- “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow”—Season 4
- “Dynasty”—Season 2
- “The Flash”—Season 5
- “Jane the Virgin”—Season 5
- “Riverdale”—Season 3
- “Supergirl”—Season 4
- “Supernatural”—Season 14
Several shows are still waiting to find out if they will be renewed or cancelled. The fates of “Life Sentence,” “Valor,” “iZombie,” and “The 100” will be announced closer to the TV Upfronts in May.
The network’s model has always been Monday-Friday with two hours of prime time programming. Most other networks run Sunday through Friday or Saturday, with three hours of prime time. The CW recently announced they will be expanding to Sundays too.
CW President Mark Pedowitz said:
“As The CW expands to a six-night, Sunday through Friday schedule next season, we are proud to have such a deep bench of great returning series for 2018-19. By picking these ten series up for next season, we have a terrific selection of programming to choose from when we set our fall schedule in May, with more still to come. And I’m especially happy that we’ll continue to work with the incredibly talented casts, producers, and writers who create the series our fans are so passionate about.”
There are a few questions still in the air as the 2017-18 season winds down and plans begin for 2018-19.
Earlier Monday, “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” star Rachel Bloom suggested via Twitter that their newly announced fourth season would be the last.

“Jane the Virgin” star Gina Rodriguez has likewise hinted that her award-winning series would end after season 5, as she now begins to sign on for a string of film projects.
The CW has not yet commented on the future of either of those series beyond next season.
“Supernatural” is the network’s longest running series, now getting a 14th season. Network bosses have long said they would keep the show on the air for as long as stars Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki want to stick around.
The full network schedule will be announced in May.
