At this point, it seems like Quentin Tarantino is really assembling a cast for the ages. If nothing else, “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” could set a record for the most name actors in a film. Almost every single week, another star as added to the ensemble for this hotly anticipated movie. There could even be more to come, as I know of an actor that could be announced in the near future. Tarantino is clearly putting together something with a huge scope to it. To that effect, we can add another great actor to the group that QT is lining up.
Deadline is reporting that Scoot McNairy is the newest member of the large-scale cast. He’ll be added into the tapestry that includes Clifton Collins, Dakota Fanning, Nicholas Hammond, Emile Hirsch, Keith Jefferson, Damian Lewis, Timothy Olyphant, Al Pacino, Luke Perry, Burt Reynolds, and Margot Robbie. Of course, the stars of this one will be Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt. No matter how you slice it, Tarantino has an all-time cast lined up. McNairy is just more icing on that cake. Even if this is a cameo level role, it’s something to be excited about.
Here are some details from the report:
Quentin Tarantino has set Scoot McNairy to join the cast of his Sony Pictures film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. McNairy will play the role of a cowboy named Business Bob Gilbert, a character in the Western TV show from the time period that is an element of a Pulp Fiction-like tapestry of the summer of 1969 in Los Angeles.
Once again, “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” is currently scheduled for release on Aug. 9, 2019. That date, as we’ve previously mentioned, is exactly 50 years after the Manson Murders. Stay tuned for more on Tarantino’s impending epic.
