Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve received more information on the upcoming ”Toy Story 4,” due out in June of 2019. The first footage came in the form of a teaser trailer that introduced the world to Forky. The new Spork based toy will be voiced by Tony Hale, and instantly became internet famous. The very next day, Pixar released a second teaser. In this one, two new characters Bunny and Ducky, recapped the teaser. This time, Oscar-winner Jordan Peele and his comedic partner Keegan-Michael Key were revealed to voice the duo. With an all-star cast lining up to join the new Disney/Pixar film, we may have heard our most surprising addition yet. According to Deadline and Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen) himself, Keanu Reeves has joined the cast in an undisclosed role.
The news that Keanu has joined the Pixar franchise has instantly got many on the Internet very excited for his potential role. The actor, best known for his action films “The Matrix” and “John Wick” has long been a fan favorite. He’s also earned his comedy chops in a lot of films, namely “Bill and Ted‘s” from the late 1980s. With Keanu joining the cast, many have wondered what other names will be involved.
“Toy Story 4” will follow our favorite group of toys on a roadtrip style adventure. With Woody (Tom Hanks) seeming to take on the lead role in the film, many are hoping that early indications about the film revolving around finding Bo Peep will be true. So far, we’ve seen a bunch of new character designs, and a roadtrip style story is in play. Fans are hoping the film lives up to the trilogy the franchise already boasts as one of the best of all time.
