No forking way! We’ve officially received word that “The Good Place” has already been given a fourth season from NBC. The Mike Schurr produced and written series continues to show strength on the comedy side for NBC. The comedy became a cult hit early on in its run, with critics praising it as one of the best shows on television. After NBC put the series on Netflix, the world quickly caught wind of how good the series has truly become.
“The Good Place” focuses on a group of people who are facing the afterlife. Some are humans, some are creatures of the afterlife, but together, they make for an incredible ensemble. The show has been led by the forces of Kristen Bell and Ted Danson, two performers that sell the lighthearted world of the film. However, they are not alone, with a strong cast behind them. Both D’Arcy Carden and Jameela Jamil have become stars because of the show. Not far behind, Manny Jacinto and William Jackson Harper have become endearing actors. The group makes for an impressive ensemble and a very funny series.
NBC continues to stoke the flames of their relationship with Schur as well. One of the most talented showrunners on television today, Mike Schur has created hit after hit for NBC. “Parks and Recreation” continues to be the masterpiece of his career. Yet “The Good Place,” the newly reaquired “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” and even seasons of “The Office” owe their charm to Schur. He still has a new series to premiere later this year as well, with “Abby’s“ starring Natalie Morales, due for a midseason premiere.
