With the Black Film Critics Circle, “Black Panther” continues to gain strength as one of the year’s best. The group not only awarded “Black Panther” the prize for the Best Picture of 2018, but Best Director for Ryan Coogler and Best Ensemble. “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” claims another Best Animated Feature prize as well. Bradley Cooper picked up one of his few wins of the year for Best Actor, while Viola Davis receives the citation for Actress. Meanwhile, “Roma” wins two prizes for Best Cinematography and Best Foreign Language film. “If Beale Street Could Talk” joins “Roma” with two wins as well, winning adapted screenplay and supporting actress for Regina King. Even “Quincy” emerged as a winner, taking home the Best Documentary prize. The full list of nominations from the group can be found below.
