**Circuit Q&A’s are our daily community question, posed to the readers of AwardsCircuit that cover various topics from film and television to general wonderings and for instances**
As we fully get into the 2019 movie calendar, we’re turning out attention away from the biggest in 2018 cinema. Now, it’s time to start thinking more and more about this year’s releases. For today’s question, we’re interested in knowing what your predictions are for these upcoming works. In particular, is there one that you think will end up being the most talked about of the year?
On the one hand, it could end up being one of the potential Academy Award hopefuls this next time around. The two that immediately jump out are Martin Scorsese‘s “The Irishman” and Quentin Tarantino‘s “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.” The former will see Netflix release their biggest title to date. Imagine the acclaim of “Roma” with an even more commercially viable product. As for the latter, it’s Tarantino working with one of his starriest casts ever. Everything he does is an event, so this will be no exception. Perhaps you’re predicting it to finally get QT a Best Picture or Best Director statue? That would make it one of the most talked about 2019 releases for sure.
On the other hand, maybe it’s just going to be a blockbuster? If so, the obvious choices are “Avengers: Endgame” and “Captain Marvel.” These superhero titles represent both a beginning and an end for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so that could make them cultural events. Besides, when in doubt, defer to the MCU.
We put the question to you now. What are your predictions for 2019 movies? Which will end up being the one we talk most about? Let us know!
