Circuit Q&A – Who is the Most Overdue Actor for an Oscar Win?

**Circuit Q&A’s are our daily community question, posed to the readers of AwardsCircuit that cover various topics from film and television to general wonderings and for instances**

Much like we’ve recently been discussing with actors overdue for an Oscar nomination, today we’re looking at those due for a win. Yes, we’re curious to know who needs an Academy Award. It’s the sort of thing we debate each and every single year. Today, we want you to let loose with your picks.

Among the gentlemen, plenty of names stick out. Bradley Cooper, Tom Cruise, Willem Dafoe, Bruce Dern, Michael Fassbender, Ryan Gosling, Jake Gyllenhaal, Michael Keaton, Mark Ruffalo, and Will Smith spring to mind. There’s also technically Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Brad Pitt, even though they have Oscars in different categories. Obviously, we’re only scratching the surface and mostly focusing on A-list performers, but isn’t that quite the lineup in need of love from Academy members?

As for the ladies, Amy Adams is certainly chief among any overdue contenders for an Academy Award. Joining her? Well, we can start with Annette Bening, Jessica Chastain, Michelle Pfeiffer, Michelle Willams, Alfre Woodard, and more. Of course, we’d be remiss to not mention Glenn Close, who came so close this last time around, only to come up short at the last moment. Arguably, Adams and Close are as overdue at this point as anyone in the business. Oscar voters will get them eventually. It’s a matter of when, not if, even though it may seem that way sometimes.

It’s a simple question, but one with almost infinite answers. Who needs an Oscar? Let us know!
