Warner Bros. Pictures have revealed a new TV spot for the ferocious upcoming “Godzilla: King of the Monsters.”
A beautiful but horrific sight to behold, we see more of the beast in action as Godzilla clashes with the other titans as seen in the clip. Audiences love big action! And seeing more of the mighty nemesis King Ghidorah is enough to hold fans over until the film’s release. With Mothra and Rodan out to join the fun, this battle is almost as epic and fueled up as the leadup to Marvel’s “Avengers: Endgame.”
The plot follows a crypto-zoological agency named Monarch who try to do their best as they maneuver the examinations and plights among mythical monstrosities. Michael Dougherty is directing the film with a screenplay written by both him and Zach Shields. Dougherty’s previous credits include writing for “Superman Returns,” “Krampus,” “Trick r’ Treat,” “X2: X-Men United” and “X-Men: Apocalypse.”
The cast of the film includes Kyle Chandler, “Stranger Things”‘s Millie Bobby Brown, Vera Farmiga, Charles Dance, Bradly Whitford, Sally Hawkins and Ziyi Zhang. The returning Ken Watanabe reprises his role as Dr. Ishiro Serizawa from the 2014 Gareth Edwards-directed “Godzilla.” The Edwards film grossed over $500 million domestically from an estimated $160 million budget. Dougherty’s film carries an estimated $200 million budget.
Taking the origin from the 1954 Japanese film, this new feat of god-like creature will have plenty of sharp visual effects advantage to play with. As seen from previous images and trailers, “Godzilla: King of the Monsters” has the power to surpass the expectations for a big budget experience. With IMAX, and both 2D and 3D presentations, moviegoers can choose their spectacle wisely.
“Godzilla: King of the Monsters” will release in theaters May 31.
