6th Annual Reality Television Awards Reveal Presenters and Appearances


The 6th Annual Reality Television Awards will present its winners, voted on by over 2 million ballots and 125 countries, on Sunday, June 9 at 8:00pmPST/11:00pmEST at RTVAs.com. The awards committee released a press note Tuesday evening announcing their official presenters and appearances.

Confirmed presenters & appearances are Ellen DeGeneres (NBC’s Game of Games), Steve Harvey (ABC’s Celebrity Family Feud), Andy Cohen (Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live), Ne-Yo & Derek Hough (NBC’s World of Dance), Howie Mandel (NBC’s America’s Got Talent), Lisa Vanderpump (Bravo’s Vanderpump Rules), Kandi Burruss (Bravo’s Real Housewives of Atlanta & CBS’ Celebrity Big Brother), Kevin O’Leary (ABC’s Shark Tank), DJ Pauly D & Vinny Guadagnino (MTV’s Jersey Shore: Family Vacation), Drew & Jonathan Scott (HGTV’s Property Brothers), Carson Kressley (VH1’s RuPaul’s Drag Race), Colton Underwood (ABC’s The Bachelor) Kat Tat (VH1’s Black Ink Crew Chicago) and Tia Torres (Animal Planet’s Pit Bulls & Parolees).

Also participating, cast members from Netflix Queer Eye, NBC’s American Ninja Warrior, CBS’ Big Brother, Bravo’s Vanderpump Rules, Universal Kids’ Top Chef Junior & American Ninja Warrior Junior, VH1’s RuPaul Drag Race and a special open from the new cast of Nickelodeon’s Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader.

Networks and productions companies submitted over 100 reality shows for consideration in the 20 categories for the
6th Annual Reality TV Awards.

Leading the pack with 5 nominations is VH1’s RuPaul’s Drag Race followed by a four-way tie with 4 nominations each: NBC’s American Ninja Warrior, Animal Planet’s Pit Bulls and Parolees, CBS’ Big Brother and Discovery’s Gold Rush.

NBC leads the pack with 16 nominations, CBS has 13, VH1 claims 10 and Bravo and Discovery both have 8 each.

Executive Producers Kristen Moss and Andrew Ward started the Reality Awards in 2012 to support, examine and redefine the art of reality in media by rewarding excellence, encouraging experimentation and recognizing that the public is the heart of our industry.
