Movies on TV
A film from summer 2013, “We’re The Millers” stars Jason Sudeikis, Jennifer Anniston, Emma Roberts and Will Poulter in a comedy treat. Sudeikis plays a drug dealer in New York, whose boss (Ed Helms) makes him serve as a drug mule. He figures he must pose as a family man, and as a result, he rounds up a group of local misfits to go to Mexico with him in an RV to pretend to be an all-American family. With strong supporting roles by Kathryn Hahn and Nick Offerman, “We’re The Millers” is a light, summer must-see. Tune in tonight at 6:30 pm ET on the Paramount Network.
Judd Apatow directed “Trainwreck” (2015), the first, and probably hallmark, Amy Schumer film. Schumer plays a magazine editor cynical about love until she meets sports doctor Aaron Conners (Bill Hader). Featuring John Cena and LeBron James in breakout film roles, the comedy is a memorable movie that showcases the breadth of Schumer’s comedic powers. Watch it tonight at 7:30 pm ET on FXM.
