CHECK OUT: ‘The Addams Family’ Take New Jersey in New Trailer and Poster

“The Addams Family” take New Jersey as MGM release another trailer and poster for the creepy and kooky bunch. Greg Tiernan and Conrad Vernon co-direct the film with a script written by Matt Lieberman (“The Christmas Chronicles”).

The film is adapted from Charles Addam’s original cartoon series. It stars an ensemble of Oscar Isaac as Gomez, Academy Award winner Charlize Theron as Morticia, Chloë Grace Moretz as Wednesday, Finn Wolfhard as Pugsley, Nick Kroll as Uncle Fester, Bette Midler as Grandmama and Academy Award winner Allison Janney as Margaux Needler.

The first family of Halloween, the Addams Family, is back on the big screen in the first animated comedy about the kookiest family on the block. Funny, outlandish, and completely iconic, the Addams Family redefines what it means to be a good neighbor.

The trailer sees the Addams family move to New Jersey and try to make the city home. Of course with their peculiar and strange family members, that’s easier said than done. With their morbid way of living, the normal and kooky worlds collide. Tiernan and Vernon are best known for directing the raunchy 2016 comedy “Sausage Party.” Tiernan directed many episodes of “Thomas and Friends” before that, as well as serving in the art department on the animated feature, “The Land Before Time.”

Vernon has done a lot of voice acting, including some in the new film. He co-directed “Shrek 2,” “Monsters v Aliens” and “Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted.” Executive producers on the upcoming film are Andrew Mittman, Kevin Miserocchi and Joe Earley.

“The Addams Family” is produced by MGM and will be distributed by United Artists. It releases in theaters October 11.
