Sometimes at the end of a long week, you just need a really good laugh. Tonight’s slate provides a slew of laughs with the return of one of the best comedies on television and a Mel Brooks classic.

Pick of the Day:

“GLOW” (Netflix)

From starting off as a complete surprise to evolving into one of the best ensembles on TV, “GLOW” is back and looking to continue its reign of the ring a third season. When fans last saw the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling, they were trying to save their show from cancellation. By the end of the second season, all hope was lost when the show was terminated. But another chance was given to them in the form of performing their show live in Las Vegas.

This season, the ladies embark on a new adventure to Sin City, looking to make a lasting impression that will make them stars. While it may be a new setting, their stories continue to evolve and entertain and enlighten fans on the world of the entertainment industry as the previous seasons did. Led by Alison Brie, Marc Maron, Betty Gilpin and one of the best ensembles on TV, “GLOW” looks to keep fans rooting for these ladies until the final bell rings.

You can never go wrong with a Mel Brooks comedy, arguably one of the greatest comedic minds of all time. In 1974, alongside comedian Richard Pryor, he co-wrote and directed one of the most controversial and funniest films ever made. Set in the American Frontier, the film follows Cleavon Little‘s Sheriff Bart as the new sheriff of a small town. The film uses humor to examine racism in the western genre with absurdist humor and legendary sequences. While no slur is left off the table, the film is both socially vital and extremely hilarious. With fantastic supporting performances from Gene Wilder, Harvey Korman and Madeline Kahn, you’ll want to get back on this horse again even after racing into the sunset.
