So order a pizza, pop some popcorn and enjoy tonight in the comfort of your own home. This article will self destruct as soon as you are done reading it.

Pick of the Day:

“Mission: Impossible – Fallout” (Amazon Prime/Hulu)

Arriving on Amazon Prime and Hulu for streaming is the latest impossible mission for Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and the rest of the IMF. Picking up two years after the events of “Rogue Nation,” Hunt and his team must stop three nuclear bombs from getting in the hands of the Apostles, a shadow team of assassins made up of the remaining members of the Syndicate, led by Solomon Lane (Sean Harris). Joined by the mysterious Agent Walker (Henry Cavill) of the CIA, Hunt must stop at nothing to save the world. The closer he comes to completing the mission, the more personal the stakes become.

Combining all the best elements of the first five entries in the series with new, electrifying set pieces, director Christopher McQuarrie outdoes himself with this vehicle. Besides the magnificent action, the film is also a wonderful showcase for Cruise’s acting talents. He proves that an actor of his caliber can give a tender performance within a big budget action movie. “Fallout” is considered by fans and critics one of the best films of 2018. If you missed it last year, stream the latest entry to the “Mission: Impossible” saga tonight.

Movies on TV:

Long before “Where’d You Go, Bernadette,” “Boyhood” and even the “Before Trilogy,” director Richard Linklater gave audiences one of the defining teenage hangout comedies. Set in Austin, TX, the film follows a number of students on the last day of high school in 1976. “Dazed and Confused” quickly became a cult hit and spawned the careers of high profile actors like Ben Affleck, Milla Jovovich, Parker Posey, Matthew McConaughey and many more. It was also the film that put Linklater on the map and set up the career of an indie filmmaker who ranks among some of the best working today. If you’ve enjoyed his more recent films, catch up on this early Linklater gem tonight.
