Based on the beloved trilogy, this fantasy series follows a brave young woman from another world on her quest to find her kidnapped friend while uncovering the sinister plot of a secret organization. Starring Dafne Keene, James McAvoy, Ruth Wilson and Lin-Manuel Miranda, immerse yourself in a world of mystery, gorgeous visuals, mythology and standout performances.

“The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King” (AMC) 7:00 PM ET

It’s been over 15 years since “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy ended, but we’re still obsessed with the Middle Earth saga. Filled with memorable characters, epic battle scenes and great drama and dialogue, this almost 3½ hour long tale will sweep you up in a world of elves, dwarves, wizards, hobbits, men and Sauron’s army. The final film in the trilogy, “The Return of the King” brings back all the characters we’ve come to love while ending on a high note filed with great performances and the wrapping up of a masterful story.

This 1995 crime drama starring heavy-hitters Brad Pitt, Morgan Freeman, Gwyneth Paltrow and Kevin Spacey, tells the story of two detectives tracking down a serial killer who is using the seven deadly sins as his motive. Directed by David Fincher, “Se7en” is gritty, well-written, well-acted, well-crafted and clever. And who can forget that memorable scene: “What’s in the box?!” Dark and intense, this film will keep you glued to the screen from beginning to end.
