The new teaser trailer for “Hunters” has landed online. From Amazon Studios and Jordan Peele‘s MonkeyPaw Productions comes a new series of a team of Nazi hunters advised by Al Pacino.
Inspired by true events, HUNTERS follows a diverse band of Nazi Hunters in 1977 New York City who discover that hundreds of escaped Nazis are living in America. And so, they do what any bad-ass vigilante squad would do: they set out on a bloody quest for revenge and justice. But they soon discover a far-reaching conspiracy and must race against time to thwart the Nazis’ new genocidal plans.
“There comes a time where we all must choose between the light and the darkness. There is evil among us and you must remember, this evil starts with but a spot inside of them… Welcome to the hunt,” says Pacino’s character in the clip to a group of hunters who will go down and find the remaining Nazi generals in the States to take them out.
The series also stars Logan Lerman, Jerrika Hinton, Josh Radnor, Kate Mulvany, Tiffany Boone, Greg Austin, Louis Ozawa Changchien, Carol Kane, Saul Rubinek, Dylan Baker and Lena Olin.
The show is created by David Weil with the prodcution help from Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions and Sonar Entertainment. Weil and Nikki Toscano serve as executive producers and showrunners. Alfonso Gomez-Rejon (“American Horror Story”) directed the pilot episode.
Peele, who won an Academy Award in 2018 for penning the original screenplay for “Get Out,” stands as executive producer of the series. Peele also recently produced “The Twilight Zone,” in which he also starred as narrator for the revamped classic series. He directed “Us,” his sophomore effort that released earlier this year and grossed over $246 million worldwide. Another television series under his wing now, “Hunters” looks to be a compelling vigilante drama for Amazon.
“Hunters” is produced by MonkeyPaw Productions and distributed by Amazon Studios. It arrives on Amazon Prime in 2020.
