What’s On TV? – Wednesday (11/27/19) – ‘Twas the Night Before Thanksgiving

The Irishman

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, which means there are plenty of movies and shows to watch tonight celebrating Turkey Day and Christmas. On NBC tonight at 9 p.m. ET, “Saturday Night Live” is airing their best Thanksgiving sketches from the past 45 seasons.  “Frightsgiving,” a tale of a psychic woman who moves into a new house on Thanksgiving which happens to be haunted, airs at 8 p.m. ET on the Travel Channel. Plenty of Christmas movies air tonight as well, including Lifetime’s all-new holiday film, “The Christmas Club.” No matter what you watch tonight, it will surely get you in the mood for the holidays.

Pick of the Day

“Ellen’s Game of Games” (NBC) at 8:00 p.m. ET

Ellen DeGeneres in “Ellen’s Game of Games”

On “The Ellen Show,” everyone knows Ellen DeGeneres loves to play games with her guests in order for them to win money. In this spinoff, “Ellen’s Game of Games” has taken playing games for money to a whole new level. Instead of using celebrities like on her talk show, Ellen brings real people to compete in a variety of hilarious and challenging games for the chance to win $100,000. Contestants each have their own stories about why they need the money and each story is always touching. Spend an hour with Ellen tonight as she reminds you that Christmas is all about giving.

Movies on TV

“Twinkle All the Way” (Lifetime) at 9:00 p.m. ET

Sarah Drew and Ryan McPartlin in “Twinkle All the Way”

“Grey’s Anatomy” alumna Sarah Drew stars in this new Lifetime holiday film, “Twinkle All the Way.” Cadence Clark (Drew) finds herself teamed up with Henry Harrison (Ryan McPartlin), owner of a Christmas decoration store, to pull off a winter wonderland wedding. Both single parents to young daughters, the two grow close as they struggle to make a beautiful wedding in the midst of a snowstorm. A fun and light holiday movie, “Twinkle All the Way” reminds you that connecting with others is the best way to celebrate Christmas. And, of course, meeting a cute guy along the way.
