Academy Idol Top 13 (Originals) Compete for YOUR Votes!

Also, some news about the upcoming Wild Card Episode….

Academy Idol officially kicks off tonight but unfortunately, technical difficulties are preventing Myles Hughes in uploading the episode.  This space will be updated (hopefully!) by tomorrow and have the episode for your viewing pleasure.  The voting has opened though and can be found on the right sidebar.

A bit of GOOD NEWS: The top five highest vote-getters will advance to the Top 13.   Next Sunday, the Top 13 Adapted films will face off for your votes once again.  The following week, each writer of the Awards Circuit will choose one (1) of the remaining films to battle it out once again for your votes in our Wild Card show.   The Top 3 highest vote-getters of that episode will round out the Final Top 13. HERE IS THE GOOD NEWS>>>>There are nine staff writers on the site, and including myself as Editor-in-Chief makes ten (10) films to compete once again.  I, the Editor-in-Chief, have decided to select two (2) additional films that have NOT been named to the Top 26 films thus far and have them compete in the Wild Card episode.

This means if you are still losing sleep over Stephen Chbosky’s The Perks of Being a Wallflower not making the Top 26 or feel that Skyfall and Brave were robbed of a spot, I will select two films from the 2012 slate to compete.  Best of all, I want YOUR suggestions.  This is a real opportunity to bring in either big budget blockbusters that you love or smaller-scale independent cinema that usually aren’t given a chance.  Someone sent some hate mail about Holy Motors and Compliance being robbed of a spot.

Down below in the  comment section, please leave me your suggestions for which two (2) films should be added to the Wild Card show to compete for YOUR votes.

It’s going to be a great Season 6!  Until then Happy Voting!
