Academy Idol XII Final

So now we’ve found our way into our final round. The matchup between “The Favourite” and “A Star Is Born” was what many of us imagined the Oscar season could have become. Ultimately, despite eighteen nominations between the two films, each only left with one. “A Star Is Born” earned its place on the stage thanks to “Shallow” and Lady Gaga. It was a triumph of a musical film. Meanwhile, “The Favourite” scored the upset of the night, with Olivia Colman taking the Best Actress prize. Each film had strong supporters throughout the year. Now, we have our winner.

The winner of Academy Idol XII is………”The Favourite!”

“The Favourite” dominated throughout the season, winning every week of Academy Idol XII since Round 2. It also won its group. There was never a point in the entire season it lost a matchup when it was in the running. It is a worthy film to take home the Academy Idol prize. “The Favourite” now joins an illustrious club that includes “Arrival,” “Call Me By Your Name,” and others. It was a great year for “The Favourite,” and we’re happy to name it our winner.
