One of the shows that often does not get enough credit for it’s influence on the modern TV landscape is “American Horror Story” from FX. The anthology series reintroduced the concept in modern television, making it an instant hit. Creator Ryan Murphy was able to talk large casts of famed actresses and emerging stars into joining the franchise over the years. From Jessica Lange, to Kathy Bates, and Lily Rabe. With one of the first “mashup” seasons coming down the pipeline, Murphy is officially announcing his cast.

According to Murphy’s Twitter account, he officially brought back most of the “American Horror Story: Coven” cast. A teaser also made its ways to the internet last night.

It is unlikely that “American Horror Story” is adding any fans at this point. The show is mostly made for the same audience each year, and those who love the show will continue to do so. With Lange back on board, there’s some hope the show will return to form. After all, the first 4 seasons remain the high water mark for the show. Considering the sheer amount of talent that continues to join the series look for it come Emmy time. It continues to shows up on a yearly basis. There’s reason to suspect this “superseason” will remain a favorite.
