It’s the end of the year, so “best of” and “worst of” lists are abound. But the people at Film School Rejects went all out, with best of lists that include everything from Best Cinematic Facial Hair to Best in Criterion Collection.

Kristy Puchko at Cinema Blend ranks the 10 best lines of dialogue in film this year.

At Thompson on Hollywood, Sophia Savage gives us a list of what she felt were the best performances of the year.

While Matt Goldberg at Collider names his best of pretty much everything. Adam Chitwood lists his 10 best films of the year.

Brad Brevet at Rope of Silicon unveiled his 10 best films of 2012, and the 10 worst (that he saw).

Nathaniel Rogers of The Film Experience puts to print what I’ve been griping about for the last few months: movies are just too damn long this year!!

Sasha Stone of Awards Daily breaks down the Oscar chances for Les Mis, and it doesn’t look good.

In Contention’s Guy Lodge gives us a closer look at the nine films on Oscar’s Foreign Language shortlist.

At Slash Film, Germain Lussier looks back at the films he was most anticipating for 2012, and decides whether each film lived up to his expectations or not. You can also view his top 10 most anticipated films for 2013, though I must warn you he did include Michael Bay’s Pain and Gain. So…

Lover of all things film and Oscar. Fantasy sports’ equivalent of George Steinbrenner. Your very own Han Solo, making friends all over the movie-loving galaxy in spite of himself. When he’s not ranking just about everything or dominating boardgames, Mark is breaking down the Oscar race 24/7 with Rain Man-like stats and knowledge. In his downtime, you can find him commiserating with other Northeast Ohio sports fans because a hero isn’t complete without a little heartbreak. If Game of Thrones, Lost, Breaking Bad, Mad Men, and Survivor are your style, then congratulations, you have something in common with this inglourious basterd.
