Awards Circuit Announces 2016 ACCA Nominees – WATCH the Nomination Video!


LA LA LAND takes field-leading 15 ACCA nominations. JACKIE and ARRIVAL tie with 10 nominations.

NEW YORK (January 23, 2017) – Awards Circuit announced today its nominees for the 2016 Awards Circuit Community Awards. The awards are voted on annually by Awards Circuit’s community of readers from all over the world.

Damien Chazelle’s modern musical “La La Land” received the most nominations, with 15 total citations, including for Best Picture, Best Director for Damien Chazelle, Best Actor for Ryan Gosling and Best Actress for Emma Stone.

Pablo Larraín’s biopic “Jackie” and Denis Villeneuve’s “Arrival”  tied for the second most, with 10 total nominations each. Barry Jenkins’ “Moonlight” came in third with nine citations.

“Arrival,” “Hacksaw Ridge,” “Hell or High Water,” “Jackie,” “La La Land,” “Manchester by the Sea,” “Moonlight,” “Nocturnal Animals,” “Silence” and “Zootopia” were nominated for Best Picture honors.

Voting for the winners will take place from Tuesday, Jan. 24 and end on Tuesday, Jan. 31.
