BET Awards 2020: Beyoncé and Drake Favorites Tonight, John Legend Among Performers

The BET Awards will air tonight at 8:00 PM EST and will be hosted by Comedian Amanda Seales. The show will celebrate and honor Black achievements and culture from this past year.

The show will also honor Beyoncé for her “BeyGOOD” initiative, the late Basketball legend Kobe Bryant, and the iconic singer Little Richard.

On the film side, the group’s nominees for Best Movie include Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah‘s “Bad Boys for Life,” Craig Brewer’s “Dolemite Is My Name,” Kasi Lemmons’ “Harriet,”  Beyoncé‘s “Homecoming: A Film by Beyoncé,” Destin Daniel Cretton’s “Just Mercy,” and Melina Matsoukas’s “Queen & Slim.”

The three-hour ceremony is scheduled to have performances from John Legend, Alicia Keys, and Usher, while Drake who leads the nomination field with six, is the favorite to walk away with many statues.

The BET Awards will air Sunday on BET and CBS beginning at 8:00 PM EST.
