Trying to find the humanity in dark material is something the cast and crew of Dark Tourist had to deal with in creating this film about a grief tourist named Jim whose dark desires begin to overwhelm him. It’s a difficult movie to stomach and a dark film to make but the people behind the film managed to craft an intense experience that has a lot to say. This past Thursday I dropped by the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills to attend a press day with stars Melanie Griffith and Michael Cudlitz, as well as director Suri Krishnama and producer Zachery Ty Bryan where they talked about their experiences making the film, grief tourism, and the level of violence in films. Check it out!
